How to apply for a puppy...
Here at Northern California Pomskies we have a process for how we pair our puppies with the perfect homes and families. It is very important to us that our puppies have the best lives possible and to ensure this we carefully select each person or family through an application and interview process.

We no longer hold a waiting list. We have found the best possible way to match puppies with their new families is to accept applications for each individual puppy that is available. We've come to this conclusion because we have found that the ranking system associated with a waiting list was less effective when endeavoring to pair specific puppies with their potential new families. We begin accepting applications when our puppies are between 4 and 5 weeks old, at this stage in their growth we can begin to provide families with information like emerging personality traits and give more accurate estimates on coat type, eye color and adult weight. We feel that the more information potential families have the better decision they can make regarding their choice in puppy. It takes much time and effort on our part to review numerous applications and interview families and we realize that not every puppy we have will be the right fit for everyone. This being the case, we will now review applications and conduct interviews based on people being interested in specific puppies when they become available for application. We feel this saves everyone time and emotional distress that might result from the anticipation and disappointment of a puppy pick not working out.

Our price range:
We often get asked on Facebook and Instagram what our puppies cost. We are unable to discuss prices on those platforms due to their community guidelines. Our puppies can range from $2000 to $4500 depending on coat color and quality, markings, eye color and size. We will list each individual puppy’s price (along with information and pictures) at the bottom of this page a day or so prior to our application day. We wait until just before our application day because we can better determine eye color, coat type and adult weight estimates around that time when the puppies are about 4 to 5 weeks old.

Sign up for our newsletter! To be sure you are notified when we are accepting applications, please sign up for our newsletter in the "contact" section of our website. We will send out an email announcement containing the application link once puppies are available to apply for at 4 to 5 weeks of age. Pictures, price, and description will be posted here on our website for everyone to review, along with the application for anyone who is not signed up for our newsletter.

The Application process:
We begin accepting applications when our puppies are 4 to 5 weeks old. We ask general questions about you and your lifestyle. We want to find just the right fit for our puppies, so please include as much information as possible. The application will require you to answer a number of questions including which puppy or puppies you are seriously interested in. The more puppies included on the application, the more likely you will be selected to move on to the interview process. However if you are only seriously interested in one, that doesn't mean you will not be selected, we just want to be sure you are applying for puppies you truly want and don't want to overlook someone who would be very happy with a few different choices. We have so many wonderful families to choose from and we want to make sure each of our very special babies find the perfect homes. After the applications are reviewed we select people to contact for a phone/video interview via FaceTime or WhatsApp to give you a chance to meet us and see the puppies in action. If after the interview all seems to be a good fit for both breeder and applicant, we require a $500 non-refundable deposit to be made the day the interview takes place, to reserve your puppy. If the deposit is not made the day of the interview we will need to move on to the next qualified applicant. If you are not prepared to place a $500 deposit on your selected puppy please wait to apply. The deposit goes towards the full price of the puppy. We collect our payments for deposit and final balance via a secure online payment service called Square. Square enables you to pay via your bank or credit card. We do not offer financing, so please wait to apply if you will not be able to make the full payment by one week prior to pick up or delivery.

Social Media:
Please like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram for the latest news and updates on upcoming litters. We post several pictures and videos of the puppies as they grow. We tend to select families that build a relationship with us prior to application time. If you are friends or family with one of our past puppy families, please let us know, excellent references go a long way.

***Please note*** We do not save applications. If you have applied in the past and were not selected, you will need to apply again for future puppies. Not being selected does not mean you were rejected, we simply have an abundance of applications to review for each available litter and just not enough puppies for each wonderful family. We feel very fortunate to have so much interest in our beautiful puppies and we very much appreciate your continued patience and support. If you have applied in the past we want you to know that we take that into consideration as well, so please be sure to mention it!

Current puppies:

We try to give the most up to date and accurate information possible as they grow. Please understand that our weight estimates are not guarantees, but we are quite experienced at this and we generally get close to the ballpark. Eye color can change slightly as the puppies grow, for example parti eyes (blue and brown mixed) are sometimes missed because the brown does not show up until they mature. Also green or Amber eyes may be darker once the puppy matures. We endeavor to give you an idea on their emerging personalities, but again these will continue to develop after they join their new homes, so continued socialization and training are a must!

She-Ra/Panda 50/50 puppies born 4/16:
